CADILLAC PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE OF ELECTRONIC MEETING, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
June 28, 2021
THE MEETING WILL ONLY BE HELD ELECTRONICALLY
FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
The Planning Commission of the City Cadillac will hold a regular meeting on June 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. This meeting will only be held electronically pursuant to the Open Meetings Act and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Epidemic Order. The purpose of the meeting will be to consider any business to come before the Planning Commission as permitted by law and to hold two public hearings as follows: 1) a public hearing will be held on potential amendments to the City's Zoning Ordinance regarding temporary use signs. Specifically, the ordinance would standardize regulations for all temporary use signs, regardless of their content, and provide a uniform restriction for the number of signs displayed in each parcel, the sign’s height, minimum setbacks and spacing from other signs, and limit the amount of time a sign can be displayed after the event referenced concludes; and 2) a public hearing to consider potential rezoning of the property located at 2713 Sunnyside Drive, Cadillac, MI 49601 from R-3, One Family Residential to TS-2, Tourist Services District.
Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Act 267 of 1976 the City also gives notice of the following:
