Annual Operating Budget

Budgeting Process
In accordance with Article 10 of the Cadillac City Charter, the Financial Services Department develops an operating budget on an annual basis for a period covering one fiscal year. Budgeting activities begin in December of each year and culminate in the adoption of the budget by City Council in the second half of the month of May.

Throughout the six month budgeting process, there are opportunities for citizen input through work sessions and public hearings. City Council members can also be sought out by citizens in order to provide input into the budgeting process and to help define funding priorities.
